Burnham Ramblers 1 Southend Manor 4 Manor followed up their superb win at local rivals Basildon United at the weekend with another impressive win against another local rival in Burnham Ramblers at Leslie Field. Brown, Zamani, Newell and Fatt grabbed the goals for the Southchurch Park outfit and the back to back league wins see the visitors climb into tenth spot whilst the hosts, who have now lost four straight, remain in the bottom four and actually fall a place to third bottom on goal difference.

Buildbase FA Vase 2nd Round Replay

FC Romania 0 Great Wakering Rovers 1

Rovers are through to the last 64 of the FA Vase after winning an ill tempered tie at Theobalds Lane.   The first half was a cagey and at times niggly affair although neither side were giving much away. It did liven up towards the break though and in the second period the visitors grabbed a deserved lead when Gordon got down the right and his low cross was out of the reach of the hosts keeper, allowing Russell to slide in at the back post to convert.  The hosts briefly threatened to level when a Ghinea strike brushed Hawkins and came off the underside of the bar before brushing the keeper again and somehow stayed out, but the hosts discipline let them down later in the half when substitute Maximov was shown a straight red for an alleged headbutt.  It meant the visitors, who were the better side in the second half, progress through and set up a home tie with Cogenhoe United in the 3rd Round.
