Monday lunchtime’s Buildbase FA Vase 4th Round draw saw Hullbridge Sports, the only Essex Senior League team left in the competition, given an away tie with Tring Athletic. The hosts play in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division and at the time of writing sit second from bottom.
They entered the Vase fray at the 2nd Round stage where they desposed of Ely City; then last time out eked out a 1-0 win over Berkhampstead. Hullbridge have had a bit of a torrid time in the league themselves, currently sitting at the foot of the table. But their Vase campaign has seen them put together some great results; starting in the 2nd Qualifying Round where they beat fellow Essex Senior League adversaries Ilford, the club now managed by Darren Manning, have gone on to beat Colney Heath, Wembley and then Enfield 1893 in an all Essex Senior League 3rd Round affair which guaranteed that there would be at least one team from our league in the 4th round.
The game will be played on Saturday 6th January.
